Warranty Info

Liebhaber & Company sells bows from a curated selection of trusted manufacturers. Every new bow we sell is covered by the manufacturer's own warranty against defects in workmanship and materials, and we're here to help you register your bow and manage any warranty claims from start to finish.

What's Covered

Warranty terms, including length of coverage, are set by each bow's manufacturer and vary by brand and model. In general, manufacturer warranties cover defects in the shaft's workmanship and materials under normal playing conditions. Exact terms for your bow are listed on its product page and included in the documentation that ships with your order.

What's Not Covered

  • Normal wear and tear, including worn hair, grip, or lapping.

  • Routine care and maintenance, such as rehairs.

  • Damage from accidents, misuse, improper storage, or extreme temperature and humidity.

  • Bows that were not registered within the manufacturer's required registration window (commonly 90 days from purchase — see your bow's documentation for the exact deadline).

Registering Your Bow

Most manufacturers require registration to activate your warranty. We recommend registering as soon as your bow arrives. If your bow's manufacturer requires registration through their own site, we'll include a direct link and instructions with your order confirmation. If you're not sure whether your bow is registered, contact us and we'll check for you.

Filing a Warranty Claim

To start a warranty claim, email contact@liebhaberandco.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and a few photos of the bow. We'll confirm your bow's eligibility, coordinate directly with the manufacturer, and guide you through next steps, which typically involve shipping the bow to the manufacturer's workshop for evaluation.

Repairs or replacements approved under warranty are provided at no cost to you, though you may be responsible for shipping the bow to the evaluation facility unless the manufacturer states otherwise.

Non-Warranty Service

Rehairs, adjustments, and other routine maintenance aren't covered under warranty, but we're happy to help you arrange service through the manufacturer or a qualified local luthier. Reach out to contact@liebhaberandco.com for a recommendation.
